Our Top 10 NGOs Working for Differently Abled in India

The numerous NGOs working for upliftment of the differently able and physically challenged have been able to embrace the true nature of inclusion in India. These organizations have found their relevance as a very crucial support system to ensure dignity, equality, and opportunity for those in need beyond governmental efforts.

Their work moves on many levels, from the early intervention and special education sectors to complex rehabilitation and vocational training.

Some NGOs select integrated education whereby children with and without disabilities socialize to inculcate empathy and dissipate social barriers from an early age. Others are more focused on livelihood generation; these train disabled adults with marketable skills—computer literacy, handicrafts, etc.
