Kankura Masat Social Welfare Society (KMSWS) is a community-based NGO started in 1999 and working in the district of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, with headquarters in the small village of Kankura Masat, in the area of the Sunderban delta. KMSWS mainly focuses on educating citizens, establishing sustainable livelihoods, and providing health services, and working on environmental issues. Skilled Hands Foundation
Skilled Hands Foundation is a registered non-profit NGO in India and operates as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act 2013. The NGO was formed to work with the community on social services, skills training, women's empowerment, and livelihood support. The mission of the Foundation is to provide education and empower the disadvantaged youth of today with organized training on the job in a range of sectors, including, but not limited to, construction, textiles, handicrafts, manufacturing, agriculture and hospitality. They will provide the necessary means, resources and support to help youth thrive and be successful in today's job market. The organization also promotes social entrepreneurs throughout India.
Gangasagar Unnyani Samiti
Gangasagar Unnyani Samiti is a nonprofit trust from South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, that works for the community in capacities such as clothes distribution and raising awareness of issues through programming. The Organization aims to raise the importance of education, art, and culture while helping people to create better opportunities for tomorrow. The Gangasagar Unnyani Samiti was formed in 2023, with a team of dedicated members including President Priyaranjan Das and Secretary Agamani Das.
Outthinc Foundation
Outthinc Foundation is a startup NGO. Their vision is to help school dropouts and struggling Govt school children to complete their high school (10th + 12th) with the help of their Tuition Support Centers in low-income and poor communities. They are building a support system so that children don't have to drop out of school or work to earn wages by providing the needed provisions. They majorly focus on working to provide educational and nutritional support, along with aiding in skill development.
Prithibi Foundation
Prithibi Foundation is a charitable organization in West Bengal focused on expanding access to education and literacy. Believing that learning can change lives, the foundation helps provide access to quality education for children and adults of all backgrounds, and supports a range of learning from schools and learning centres, adult literacy programs, and digital education programs to help people gain knowledge, skills, and confidence towards a better life. Purba Dwarakapur Sebayan Sangha
Purba Dwarakapur Sebayan Sangha was initiated in 1994 by some ex-students of the Ramakrishna Mission. It focuses on building capacity and social and economic development for the people in the Sundarbans delta islands in the state of West Bengal. The NGO is working towards building an integrated way of development through various projects focusing on education, health-care, renewable energy projects including solar power and biogas, income generation models including honey processing, fishery, dairy farming and organic farming, and various development models and skill training programmes for unemployed young people.
