About the NGO

Sahayogini Palak Sanstha Navi Mumbai (also known as Sahayogini) working since the last 9 years for persons with multiple disabilities including deafblindness is a Parents Organization, NGO, founded and managed by parents of persons with multiple disabilities including deaf-blindness presently working at Navi Mumbai -main branch and two other branches at Thane (West) & Thane (East) Kalwa and providing cost-free services to 150 persons with multiple Disabilities in three locations of Mumbai. It is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 on 19.06.2014 and under Maharashtra Public Trust Act 1950 on 10.02.2017 and empowered with 12A & 80G certificates issued by Income Tax Commissioner (Exemptions) which stands renewed for next Five Years till AY 2026-27. Sahayogini also has the mandatory approval from Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India for undertaking CSR Activities. Besides promoting and ensuring welfare, development and rehabilitation of persons with Multiple Disabilities, Sahayogini is envisioned to be a lead source of sustainable development, growth and meaningful rehabilitation of persons with Multiple Disabilities without any discrimination coming from all corners of the Society and be and remain a trusted all the time companion of persons with disabilities. Sahayogini is equally committed to address the main and lifelong concern of parents with multiple disabilities that is &ldquo what after us?&rdquo and therefore one of the major responsibility for Sahayogini is to provide food and shelter to persons with Multiple Disabilities who are left with no parental or family support and obtain legal guardianship of such persons on need basis.
