About the NGO

Kolkata Hunar aim is to focus on the holistic development for needy underprivileged individuals through various services and events so that they can contribute effectively at a personal, professional and societal level.

They constantly strive to support and empower individuals, particularly underprivileged women & children enabling them to meet basic ambitions of their life and realize their potential, make informed choices, resist oppression, fight for rightful existence and facilitate new possibilities and opportunities for them. Kolkata Hunar believe that stronger women will create a safer and better world. The most alluring thing is Women power and having confidence to change the World. So, they help them to build their confidence to stand in this Society.

Their Mission is to start Slum to School, the education program is already on board, they provides basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children, with the belief that education is both the means as well as the end to a better life because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood while also increasing one's awareness on a range of issues in the process helping him/her evolve as a better citizen .The organization is also committed to promoting cleanliness and hygiene in the community.
