About the NGO

Mrida Education and Welfare Society was established in April 2016 with a residential school to make a lasting impact in the lives of children from tribal families in Mandla. Madhya Pradesh, India. They aim to end poverty in tribal belts of rural India through its grassroots-led intervention programs in education, sports and agriculture thereby helping children and youth break the unproductive cycle that forces them to migrate to cities for menial jobs or remain unemployed in villages and fall back to an exploitative lifestyle with low self-esteem.
Mrida' s work in building skills and career pathways for children has created a strong impact in uplifting the tribal belts of rural India.
